Services Delivered

JML provided full project management, acting as the main contractor responsible for the design, supply and installation of the new buildings. The structure was designed in-house using eleven prefabricated SIPs modules, manufactured at JML’s factory, transported to Kenmore and craned into position.

Each module was engineered within tight constraints, with careful consideration given to the built-in lifting mechanism within the SIPs structure. Module dimensions were determined by haulage truck capacity and the narrow lochside roads and bridges leading to the site. JML worked with a specialist contractor to install ground screw foundations with exacting precision, ensuring each module could be accurately bolted in place on arrival. Once installed, the modules were connected, sealed on site and finished with a sedum roof to blend the building into its natural setting.

Constructed from highly insulated SIPs panels, the building delivers excellent thermal efficiency. Underfloor heating powered by an air source heat pump, combined with an MVHR ventilation system, ensures a comfortable and energy-efficient environment. JML also completed the full internal fit-out to the client’s exact specification, including a catering kitchen and servery, café, museum exhibition space, reception and offices.

Extensive landscaping and groundworks were undertaken by JML Contracts, including installation of services, drainage, access roads, lochside paths, and car and coach parking. Every department of the JML Group contributed to deliver this world-class facility within an ambitious timeline.
