We are one of only a few Garden Room suppliers in Scotland currently using BBA-rated Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) to construct our Garden Rooms.
SIPs out-perform other building methods in virtually every thermal and structural category, because the insulation is a component of the system rather than an addition. As a consequence, SIPs offer exceptional thermal performance and u-values (drastically reducing your heating and energy bills): making SIPs a truly environmentally friendly option.
SIPs are a sandwich of Oriented Strand Board (OSB) and a middle layer filled with insulating polyurethane foam. The OSB and the foam are rigidly bonded together, resulting in a strong, stiff, highly insulated panel suitable for structural use in buildings. This technologically advanced building system is perfect for garden rooms, studios, offices and annexes.
Our standard Garden Room panels are 100mm thick and all BBA certified.
The SIPs are built on light-weight Easy Pad foundations (www.easypads.co.uk), which means no expensive groundworks or concrete slabs are needed.
