We are a well-established, family business with over 25 years of Building and Civil Engineering experience and expertise.  Based in Auchterarder, Perthshire we carry out contracts all over Central Scotland.  We pride ourselves in having a hardworking, friendly and well-trained workforce across all aspects of the business, which helps us deliver the best possible service to our clients.  

Our Civils division offers a specialist gabion and retaining wall services of a comprehensive design, supply and installation across all types of retention techniques.
We are looking to appoint an experienced, full-time retaining wall engineer/civils engineering technician to deal with our gabion and retaining wall enquiries, design the walls (using the required software), organise the projects and carry out the drawings/design and client interface.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone currently in a civil engineering technician role to learn some further project management, design and commercial skills to help grow this side of our business.


•    Dealing with all retaining wall enquiries and preparing concept designs, carrying out site visits etc.
•    Experience and good understanding of the principles of retaining wall engineering and gabion works is essential.
•    Use of Macstars, Tekla and other retaining wall software would be essential/advantageous.
•    Good computer skills and strong CAD skills for creating designs/drawings etc
•    Drawing and other technical duties on our other civils projects such as bridges, foundations, general civil works.
•    Preparing projects ready for site start in terms of ordering materials, finalising drawings, design details etc.
•    Involvement on the technical side of our prefill/offsite gabion yard where we carry out our prefill operations.
•    General project assistance for the civils team in terms of drawings, design etc.

This is a full time, permanent position ideally suited to someone who wants to further their career and it offers exciting opportunities for both personal and professional growth.   
We have strategic plans in place to see major growth within the retaining side of our Civils business over the next few years and this role will play a key part in that growth.

Due to continuing growth, we require an experienced yardsman/driver to join our team.
This is a permanent position, with a competitive remuneration package offered comprising salary based on experience and access to company pension scheme.

Main duties:

  • Day-to-day deliveries and collections from/to merchants and sites.
  • Keeping yard orgnanised, tidy and clean.
  • Servicing of plant/small tools.
  • Stock takes, ordering stock.
  • Loading and unloading wagons.
  • Operating forklift (qualification required).
  • Helping set up and demobilise sites.
  • Assisting on sites as/when required.
  • Assisting with Civils prefill gabion operation when required.

Key Skills:

  • Driving licence, with permission to tow trailer up to 3,500kg.
  • Good time management, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to keep a tidy and productive workshop.
  • Computer literate.
  • Mechanical minded.
  • Self starter and problem solver.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Forklift ticket would be desirable.

Team Supervisor- Gabion Pre Fill

Due to expansion within the Civils side of our business, we are looking for an experienced supervisor/team leader for our gabion basket prefill yard operation based in Aberuthven.

This is a long term/permanent post and although experience is desirable, full training can be provided to the right candidate.

We value a positive and can-do attitude above all else.

Ideally you will be from a civils or groundworks background, have supervisory experience of running a small team of @ 4 to 5 people, dealing with day-to-day activities, orders, despatch, quality control etc.

You should hold a valid CSCS card and a full driving licence and have excellent communication and time management skills.

This is a full-time permanent positions with opportunities to further progress in the company as this side of the business develops.

Gabion Pre-Fill Installer

Due to expansion within the Civils side of our business, we are looking for experienced gabion installers to join our new prefill yard team based mainly at our Prefill yard in Aberuthven, with some occasional site-based work.

These are long term/permanent posts and although experience is desirable, full training can be provided to the right candidate.

We value a positive and can-do attitude above all else.

Ideally you will hold a valid CSCS card and a full driving licence and have excellent communication and time management skills.

These are permanent positions with opportunities to progress in the company for the right candidate, but short-term positions are available for anyone on a gap year or in between studies etc.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a successful, fast growing SIPS house and garden rooms manufacturer based in Perthshire. This family-owned business is looking for experienced joiners to join their team of installers, working on a variety of building projects throughout the country.

This is a permanent position, with ongoing training and development opportunities within the organisation for the right individual. A competitive remuneration package is offered, comprising salary based on experience, bonus structure and access to company pension scheme.

You must be able to demonstrate experience working on projects with associated joinery construction techniques. Excellent communication and time management skills are vital, along with a full UK driving licence. Experience of working with SIPs and a valid CSCS card would be advantageous, but are not essential. Due to the geography of contracts, working away from home may be required.
